Question

just to be clear---koshering a pot you just boil water in it with the cover over it , no need to overflow right?? also can i pour the boiling water over my flatware to kosher them instead of putting the flatware in the pot?

1. correct 2. yes (unless you use the silverware in a pot most of the time (for sefardim) or once in a while (for Ashkenazim) CYA
