about answer to Joseph on Barbecue

Question

When you say "Take a spot not yet used, and put your stuff on while the grill is empty. Try to get to go first, & avoid any risks." Are you saying it is not necesary to kasher the grill? What if the grill is clearly not clean? Also, what if you know the grill was used within the last 24 hours? Thank you, Yehuda

A barbeque grill when turned on, is automatically kashered after 3 minutes of warming up. It gets very hot & anything there is destroyed beyond recognition. If you know it was used within 24 hours for non-Kosher food like meat or fish, then you should not use it. AA
