Question

Hey Rabbi, Can I tell my maid during the week that I am not allowed to to her outright to turn on a light, etc. on shabbos and I will, therefore, hint to her, so that she doesn't think that I am being rude on shabbos by not saying "please turn on the light?"

In most cases when you cannot ask her, you cannot hint either. AA
