Question
As a girl who grew up in Lakewood and went through the school system, I can tell you that the Tzniut issue backfired when it came to me and some of my friends. Most of my teachers didn't care about me but about how I looked. It only took one person who cared about me and my neshama to make me want to be betzniut. I don't know if you got the letter recently sent out about not to buy houses in Westgate but that's also just people wanting to make a new stink. Westgate is not the first community that doesn't have a mikvah as soon as it was built. People would rather look at others then look at themselves. Take the letter and keep it to remind yourself whenever you feel like telling someone else off for how they look if that ever should happen. (doubtful) Lakewood is a beautiful community if you overlook the few rotten eggs. This is coming from someone who used to hate Lakewood. Thank you Rabbi C. Abadi for helping me out with this issue.
