batul b'shishim
Question
I learned that when a fleishig spoon falls accidentally into a pot of dairy food, then it is batul b'shishim- and this is calculated by the dairy has to be 60 times the amount of meat that falls in. Poskim say that even though its not possible for the spoon to be fully fleishig, the dairy has to be 60 times the full spoon. in that case, can the dairy pot be considered as part of the 60 times the spoon?
Answer
Answered by Chaim Yisrael Abaditechnically a portion could possibly be, but it would be impossible to figure it out, for a few reasons. So, the answer is, no. You couldn't include the pot. But, as you pointed out, lechumra, we count the whole spoon. CYA
