becoming a gelatin eater

Question

Being a card-carrying follower of the American Orthodox establishment, I was obviously quite surprised to see some of the piskei dinim posted on this site. I was perhaps most surprised to see the thread regarding the universal kashrut of gelatin. Here's the question: If one choses to begin to follow Rav Abadi's psak with regard to this (or anything other), would one require hatarat nedarim or something of that nature? CG
