Bishul Akum/Pat Akum

Question

Dear R. Abadi, Would the following still have the prohibitions of bishul akum? 1. Seering (since its not a conventional way of cooking) 2. Side dishes i.e. french fries, mashed potatoes, pasta etc.

Yes on all. Most Rabbis will say that almost all the foods today fit the category of "eaten at a King's table, " as our Kings today eat more like us. I, Personally, am not quite sure about all that. Similarly, they aren't ready to consider sushi as a way to make fish be considered, "eaten as raw." AA
