Question

My five year old son asked this and I have no idea: Do we make the bracha "Ha Adomah" on hydroponically grown lettuce? (hydroponically is the one grown without soil, right?). What is the bracha for Cream of Rice cereal? (granulated rice is the only ingredient cooked in water). Thank you again!!!
