Question

If you are worried about the broom being chametz, why are you making challah on pesach? The best one I ever saw was a kosher l'pesach broom

Maybe the glue on the top of the straw hairs is chametz After thinking about it. Sometimes people use a brush to put eggs on challah or pastries. Maybe they use a broom for the chasuna chalah. CYA
