Butter

Question

Rabbi I once heard that butter does not require a hashgacha because only cow's milk can be converted and chirned into butter, non-kosher animals' milk does not have that property. Is this true?

Not necessarily. Today they have the ability to mix other milk in, but we don't need to worry about this in civilized countries, just like milk. It's all Cholov Yisroel. AA
