canned beans

Question

Years ago I was told that canned beans were problematic because they had a high probability of being cooked on a production line that might also cook pork-and-beans. I suspect that that really isn't an issue. So, to the question, are canned beans that only contain beans, water, preservatives, salt, etc. kosher without requiring a hechsher?
