IS going away to an island (carribean or the like) for a vacation with your wife Asur? does it fall under the 'unpopular' category 'ivimoshav leitsim lo yashav"?

The Island is not the problem, it's the Moshav Leitzim (loosely transalated = gathering of sinners) that is a problem. You can find that at home, too. If you need a vacation, and you go to a nice Island, and you relax and you're able to do your Mitzvot and daily routine much better, and your blood pressure comes down a bit, then you have done a Mitzvah! Keep away from all Moshav Leitzim. AA
