Carrying in hotels

First of all, hotels certainly have the right to move you to a different room, or even to refund your money and kick you out of the hotel. But even in the ordinary course of affairs, they have a key, and go in and out as they please - housekeeping enters the room once or twice a day to clean, make the bed, restock the minibar, etc. You are a guest, not a tenant. Even with a tenant, the halacha is that if the landlord retains the right to store one piece of property in the apartment then he remains a baal-habayit, and doesn't need to 'rent' the apartment back from the tenant. Kal vachomer with a hotel room, where all the property in the room - the furniture, the lamps, the clock radio, the coffee maker, the hair dryer, the ironing board, etc - belongs to the landlord!
