Chalav Stam

Question

I was recently told that your father shlita is makpid not to eat chalav stam. I assume this is incorrect cuz in the sefer your father's mashma that there's absolutely no reason,no matter what madregah ur on,to be machmir. Is my assumption correct? Thanx.
