Question
One of the local shuls in my neighborhood "paskened" that although our local Stop and Shop supermarket is owned by non-Jews one may not buy "overt chametz" from them b/c their main distributor, C&S grocers, is owned by Jews. Is there any validity to this mitzad halakha? Please try to answer ASAP as I'm out of food! Thanks.

Answered by Chaim Yisrael AbadiSorry its a few days late, but for next year you should not worry and you can buy from any big chain no matter who distributes to them. CYA
