Question

Hi, One of the primary reasons why Secular Jews in Israel have little respect for Halacha is the attitude of religious Jews that they deserve a special status regarding the military. The blood of a Torah-studier is not any redder than the blood of any other Jew. I have more respect for people who decide to protect the Jewish nation (Kol HaMetzil Nefeh Echad...) and the land of Israel (Milchemet Mitzva) then those who avoid this responsibility by sitting in a Yeshiva. That said, there are many many religious Jews who fight alongside Jews of all stripes and it is these people who do the histadlut that is required to save us from many of the tragedies that are enemies plan.
