Chocolate Factory
Question
I am trying to determine the kashrut/indulgibility of Gayle's Chocolates in Royal Oak, Michigan. 1. Workers use the same microwave to heat their treif lunches as they use for melting caramel used in the chocolate. They also use flatware and cutting boards for non kosher items then return them clean for use in chocolate making, problem? 2. Gayle is Jewish so: a) do the metal keillim need to be toiveled? b) production continues on Shabbat, unacceptable? 3. Some of the truffles contain wine derived extracts. Are chocolates heated in the same keillim a problem?
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiAll the chocolates are fine. The Pretzels are the only ones I want to still confirm. I'm awaiting their response. AA
