Question

The Building in question is an art school that is in a building that once was a church. It is no longer used for any kind of religious services. In response to your first answer, ... includes a Synagogue of Reformed or Conservative that do not keep Shabbat or regular Mitzvot. Are you refering to the congregation or the rabbi? What exactly are "regular Mitzvot" and what if the same holds true at a "frum" shul? What are the halachot of smoking on Yom Tov?

If it's not a church, it's OK. The Congregation or the Rabbi, both should be religious. A Frum Shul would be the same... It is prohibitted to smoke on Yom Tov, not because of Yom Tov, but rather because it causes cancer. Aaron Abadi
