Question

I detect a contradiction in your various answers regarding the microwave. On the one hand, you say that one should refrain from using the microwave for 24 hours and then kasher it. But you also say that the walls of the microwave do not absorb the chametz taste, in which case, halakhic kashering -- as opposed to cleaning -- would be unnecessary. Since there is no real halakhic kashering going on, why insist on waiting 24 hours?
