Coffee on Shabbat

Question

1. Can one set a coffee machine on a timer so that it goes on Shabbat morning? 2. Can one put dishes in the dishwasher on Shabbat? I see everyone doing it, but isn't it muktzeh to open the door, since there are various buttons on it?

1) Yes 2) Yes. No it's not Muktzeh. (many refrigerator doors have buttons too.) AA
