Conservative Invalid Kiddushin

Question

"but many Conservative Rabbis, if not most, keep all the halachos of kidushin. " WHAT? I am sorry, but this is woefully inaccurate. I don't want to sit here keAitz Shasool Howling that their eidim are always pasool (sorry YaLaG). Basically, no self-respecting kasher leAidus Jew would partake in such a wedding, so the kiddushin are always invalid. The only issue is Rav Henkin's point, that there is an anan sahadi and that there is kiddushin anyway... Yair Hoffman

well said, but he obviously knew of cases where they were fruma at the wedding. They may have gotten a psak from a Rov that they can go to the wedding for some reason. Even so, with kosher eidim, it is probably an unkosher kidushin. CYA
