Consistency
Question
I feel that until I am ready to consistently follow your pesakim, I should not take the leniencies (e. g., swimming on Shabbat) without the stringecies (no eruv). However, I don't think using your Pesah list or eating the foods you say are kosher falls into the mix (I exclude foods with gelatin which is subject of dispute). Here you are just telling us what foods are kosher and what aren't. It isn't like I am taking one pesak of yours -- which is based upon an *interpretation* of halakhah -- and ignoring the others. Similarly, when you tell us what the Shulhan Arukh requires with regard to covering counter-tops on Pesah etc. you are not telling us *your* pesak, you are just telling us what the halakhah is. So I see no problem in following you in this regard while still using the eruv. Am I correct about this?
