Answered by Chaim Yisrael AbadiNo preparations of any type can be done on the first day Yom Tov for the second night. One can cook food for children that will eat the foods on the first day and what is left over can be eaten the second night. If the food being cooked would taste better if one would put more than is needed for the children to eat, then that is permissible. CYA
