Corporate Irresponsibility

Question

The shocking recent news of breathtaking financial scandals in corporate America leads me to wonder whether corporate America - besides lacking any morality - has any real fear of legal reprucussions. It further makes me wonder how we can rely on them for anything in terms of ingredients, FDA regulation, kashrut etc. (If they could make money by putting cyanide in food and get away with it, they probably would.) Of course they can't get away with putting poison in food, but non-kosher ingredients that are divergent fromm what is on their labels, why not? If they have no compunction or fear of the reprucusssions of "misappropriating" billions of dollars, why would they care about switching an ingredient or two if it was convenient or saved money? Thank you for all the effort you put into this site and spreading a truthful halchic process.
