Cottage Cheese

The Seridei Esh, whose pesakim are widely accepted in the Modern Orthodox community, also writes that cottage cheese is gevinat akum. He permitted it only during the Nazi years, when kosher cottage cheese was unavailable, and only for the sick and old. But the people that rely on him to have bat mitzvahs and to have girls sing in NCSY don't know about this teshuvah because no one has ever told them.
