Cream Cheese

Dear Aaron: I have been following your e-mail dialogue with my wife Rhonda regarding cream cheese. You sort of left her hanging on the question of where in the Aruch Hashulchan it is dealt with. I have done some research on the making of cream cheese and agree with you that cream cheese should be included in the Gezera of cheeses. The real question now is what is the story with Halav Yisrael cheese. Is it still a problem because even Halav Yisrael needs to be supervised throughout the cheesing process and that is simply not done with any cream cheese in existence today? Shabbat Shalom Joey Tawil
