kavod haRav, My father, z'l, passed away 10 years ago. My mother remarried a nice man this past year. He is not religious, and he has shared with me the instructions in his will to be creamated. I tried various ways to appeal to him that the Torah forbids this. Since he is not a Torah fearing Jew, this tactic has been useless, and I'm starting to annoy him. I have 2 questions: Do you have a better way of approaching this topic when person is unconcerned with Torah? Will I have to answer (at 120) for not doing enough to convince him to change his mind?

The job of convincing a person not to sin, is only within reason. Once you see you are talking to the walls, drop it. This might change over time. If you antaganize too much, he might go in the opposite direction. AA
