Davening for the amud

Question

Forgive me for posting this question again, but I've posted it twice over the last two months and have not seen it answered yet in the forum. My question concerns whether or not a sefardic jew that goes to a shul that davens nusach ashkenaz can daven for the amud (i.e be the shliach tzibbur) if approached to do so by the gabbai.
