Dieting

Question

Is there a resulting "issur " from Oneg Shabbos to diet on Shabbos? By this I don't necessarily mean to CHOOSE chicken over beef, but rather, to deny oneself a "moneh" which is in front of him and that he craves. Could you provide a a source? Thank You.

It's OK Look up the Sugya at Orach Chaim #288. But it is not outright. If you look it through carefully, you'll see that it is OK, based on what is not OK. AA
