Dikduk
Question
Get a load of this: In shul last week, the Rabbi, who is the Ba'al Kri'ah, (Reads the torah), read the followin passage as such: "IM BA'AL ISHAH, HOO, VE'YATZE'AH ISHTOH IMO" Note, the comma is after "ISHAH". The posuk is stating, if the slave has a wife, she goes free with him. This "learned", BMG educated rabbi, read as follows: "IM BA'AL, ISHAH HOO......" In other words..If the husband is a woman.... And all because the doesn't know the fundamentals of "Trup" or dikduk. LYA
Answer
Answered by Aaron Abadicool. Now if he was a Chassidishe version of that same guy, he would have said, "Ve'Im Baal, I'shoe Hee....." Which in some way might fit better with the Dikduk... AA
