Dishwasher
Question
If a Jew cooked some kosher rice in a pot that was used within 24 hours to cook treif, but the pot had been washed in the dishwasher with detergent after cooking the treif or had been washed by hand with soap, can I eat the rice? If yes, is the reason because the soap makes any taste pagum?
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiYes, correct. The non-kosher flavor that was absorbed into the pot, if any, becomes inedible and a bad flavor, after going through a dishwasher cycle with soap. AA
