Dishwasher-follow up

B'chvod H'Rav. I find this forum very useful and refreshing.. especially your sense of humor (or exasperation!). Following up on your response about using one dishwasher for meat and diary, my dishwasher, and I assume many others, have a heating element to heat up the water, because as you pointed out, it is not very hot on its own. Would that make it a problem?

I was thinking about that when I wrote it, but I was hoping it wouldn't have been noticed. Yes. many dishwashers do have a heating element. Especially the European ones. Halachically it is OK anyway. There are so many reasons why it isn't a problem. It's relatively clean before it gets hot. The soap makes any absorbed food inedible completely. Anything in the dishwasher all mixing in a big mess with each other is certainly Noten Taam Lifgam, and on and on..... AA
