Dear Rabbi, I was asking about whether, sans detergent and the whole taam lifgam element, the water in the dishwasher is hot enough to cook. For example, if it is considered iruy keli rishon, could you kasher something primarily used for iruy keli rishon (like a metal coffee cup) in a dishwasher?

Answered by Chaim Yisrael AbadiI'm not sure what you are referring to, but the water in a dishwasher is not more than an iruy kli rishon if anything. To use it to kosher a kli, like a metal cup, would not suffice. CYA
