dishwasher on a timer on Shabbat

Question

Can I put a timer on the electricity on my dishwasher so I can use it on Shabbat. Essentially, After the dinner meal we can load the dishwasher with the used dishes. The dishwasher will have no power so the door can be closed and the latch locked without turning on the light on the display, until the clock kicks in and gives the dishwasher power. The clock/timer will also be set to shut off the power in the early morning so we can open the door again without having a problem with lights on the display. Thank you again.
