I know that it is permissible for a woman to go to a male doctor and visa versa because the laws of shomer negia dont apply here since it can be considered pikuach nefesh. However, is a jewish man or woman allowed to put themselves in a position where he or she will have to rely on this lieniency by becoming a doctor?
