Dried eggplant

Question

I read what you answered someone else about dried eggplant.Are you checking if it is o.k to use them?Last year a Rabbi told me that he has never found any flour on them and if I cooked with them before the holiday and washed them good it was o.k.Does that make sense? Thanx again for your help Adele

You can use your own judgment. If the one you get has no flour, it's fine. Last year I received a sample that I did not see any flour on. Put it in a little water and if there's flour, you'll see. If you are not sure, either ask the one who makes it, if he's religious, or wait till after Pesach. AA
