EARLY SHABBOS

Question

I can't believe I overlooked it, but the Shulchan Aruch states clearly in Hilchos Minchah that preferably, one should take one opinion (either Rebbi Yehudah who allows you to daven Minchah until Plag or the Rababnan who allow you to daven till "erev", and stick with it for the rest of your life. But, b'shas hadchak, one can switch back as long as he does not create TARTI D'SOSRI on a given day. Is this not considered SHAAS HADCHAK ( since a person wants to eat together with his family at a normal time)?

What I do is, daven Mincha and then eat the meal, then go daven Maariv after night. CYA
