Electric Shavers

Question

You recently responded to a shaving on the Omer question with a side point that all electric shavers in general are permitted to shave with including the Norelco lift and cut electric shavers. Can you please explain the rationale of the rabbi's ruling and the issues involved in regard to electric shavers including the lift and cut type. Thanks, R.Barry
