errant Margarine

Question

An enamel meat pot not used for more than 24 hours was being used to cook Kasha. Margarine was put into the pot. It turned out the margarine was dairy. What is the status of the pot?

Was the margarine really dairy or OU dairy? If the margarine was really dairy then kosher the pot. CYA
