lichvod harabanim, is a fast that is from the torah more important than one from the rabbis. becuase it says in the torah you must follow the rabbis no? so woud'nt that be the same thing?

Answered by Aaron AbadiA Law from the Torah is more important than a law from our Rabbis. However, if one would say, "I don't need to do this Mitzvah because it was only from the Rabbis," that would be worse than disobeying a Torah Commandment. Confused? AA
