filtering water

Question

Can one put a rag over the faucet in order to filter out the bugs? I'm assuming the Chafetz chaim did not have a five micron britta filter. thanks

Yes. But I did hear that someone was claiming to have "brown water." So the Water Dept came down and told him to remove the Sock from the faucet and surpisingly the water was clear as water.... AA
