Fish Oil
Question
Recently I was offered a Zone bar that has listed among its ingredients, fish oil and gellan gum. Gellan gum is a gum produced by a bacteria. Is it kosher even if it is produced by a bacteria (non kosher 'animal' ?) Regarding fish oil, I did a search on this forum and found seemingly conflicting views on whether it is kosher. In this letter CYA seems to say it is a problem when eaten in food: **************************************
