flushing on Shabat.

Question

My son visited me for shabat and said he did not want to flush on shabat, because the disinfectant turns the water blue, which he feels is tsoveah. I never heard of this chumrah before. I maintain that it has no permanence, is not something that you wanr or benefit by, and is not something that you mean to happen. Who is right, me or my son? DW

This is not a question of who is right. Your son, of course asked a Rov. So, he must follow his Rov. If he didn't ask his Rov, he should. When he goes to his Rov, he should also ask about arguing with his father in his house. You, on the other hand are asking us. It is muttar to flush the toilet. CYA
