FRENCH FRIES

Question

I went into a new mcdonalds a few years ago and asked the mgr. about the fries. The fries were ou the oil was ou and the salt was even ou. The fries were done in a seperate fryer from the chicken. When I saw a new machine I asked what it was. He told me it was a filter for the oil. Evey day he would filter the oil from the fries and then filter the chicken, without cleaning the machine. I don't know what the halacha would be in this case. Needless to say I didn't buy the fries
