ge monogram shabbat mode

Question

i've been told that the problem is that the motor will turn on or off with door opening and closing and cannot be made to run continuously as can be done with taping the switch that is pressed when the door is closed. In effect, door opening or closing directly triggers the motor. There also seems to be no way to control the light from going on or off? We normally tape the button that triggers these two operations erev shabbat. Could you please elaborate?(star-k apparently has a list of shabbat approved appliances including other ge products.)

As for the door, do you care? It's therefore no problem. As for the light, unscrew the bubs AA
