gelatin

Dear Rav, Notwithstanding your opinion, and of many, that all gelatin is inedible, and therefore kosher, does an ingredient list have to state the source of it`s gelatin. ie Animal, fish or vegetable? Thanks Martin

Ask the FDA. I'm under the impression that "gelatin" means from animal, all others must specify. AA
