Gelatin
Question
A local rabbi has the following on his web site: Since we are not accustomed to eat gelatin in the United States, therefore you should regard it as non-kosher. But if you go to Israel, where the rabbanut accepts gelatin, there is nothing wrong with eating it there. Does this make any sense?
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiI hold that if you travel on Elal to or from Israel, you can eat Gelatin on your flight, since it's an Israeli airline, but if you use Continental, you must refrain from eating Gelatin during your flight! AA
