Gender Separation

Question

1) What does Rabbi Abadi hold regarding co-ed schools? 2) If it is indeed prohibited to have girls and boys learn together in the same classrooms, from what age does the prohibition apply? 3) Again, if it is assur, to what extent must they be separated (separate buildings, classes, etc.) 4) Finally, is there any basis for leniency if the financial situation of the school is in serious trouble and separating genders might force it to close?

1) In an observant community it is not allowed. 2) The beginning of Elementary School. 3) Seperate Buildings 4) No AA
