Giving to building a shul

Question

We have just started to build a shul on our yishuv, until now we have been using a temporary 'caravan' which is really too small. Can one donate maaser money for this? Thank you

There is no rule of thumb. Every person has to ask the question personally. The answer will depend on each person's personal situation. CYA
