Question

Dear Rabbi(s) Forgive my ignorance, and I have tried to find out the info on google to no avail, but does the removal of gluten from a grain make it chemically impossible to create chumetz ? And therefore, gluten-free statements on ingredient labels are confirmation that the product is free of chumetz.? Thanks, and Chag Sameach, Martin

No. There are certain ingredients that might be considered Gluten-free but not allowed to us on Pesach. However most Gluten-free groups and lists will specify if it has wheat & no gluten, because many celiacs can't eat that either. AA
